Mike Flanagan's work brings the audience a feeling of dread throughout the show yet ends with a sense of hope that most expect. Horror shows aren't for everyone but this summer, I have been immersed in intense shows and movies that helped me find a spark in my everyday life, where it often reflects hope during the darkest times in life.
